Christmas Market in Cannes08 Dec. 2017
Christmas is coming, which means Christmas markets are starting to open in the cities. The one in Cannes opened on Friday, December 1st.
You will find an ice skating rink of 400m2 (ice shows are planned) and 51 chalets offering decorations, handmade jewellery but also sweets and salty treats ... Ideal to start to fill up with gifts!
The Christmas market was set up around the Cannes music kiosk, where animations (bears, toys ...) give stars in the eyes. There is also a traditional Provencal nativity scene in a chalet.
You can also relax in the gourmet corner with mulled wine, charcuterie, oysters and white wine, salmon and truffle products, hot chestnuts, hot chocolate, or winter sandwiches.

Preparing Christmas in Cannes06 Dec. 2017We are lucky here on the French Riviera (Cannes, St Tropez and Monaco) to walk by the shop windows of this famous Maison Ladurée.
Claire Heitzier, head chef at Ladurée offers us her creations for the end of year holidays of 2017.
The flagship log is titled the Bûche Céleste: crispy hazelnut and almond surmounted by a soft hazelnut biscuit, a hazelnut mousse with a hazelnut praline center decorated with stars and white chocolate.
Nut lovers will not resist. Its round shape is different from the usual logs that one can find for Christmas.
The Bûche Candy: Almond biscuit, red fruit confit, creamy almonds and vanilla mousse, topped with fresh raspberries, whipped cream, white chocolate stars and marshmallows.
This one is more intended for the lovers of red berries.
The Bûche Fleur noir: Biscuit Sacher, chocolate feuilletine, creamy vanilla and chocolate mousse, surmounted by a block and petals of dark chocolate.
La maison Ladurée also invented a "Christmas Night" & "Nut Macaroons" boxes in which are macaroons and surprises ...
